Helping People Dive Into their deepest Feelings

Before I even knew the word “psychology” I knew that I wanted to become a psychotherapist. By the time I was in grade six I knew that I wanted to help people put into words what they were having difficulty expressing.

Therapy, as I perceive it, is a journey of self-discovery and emotional equilibrium. We are in a constant relationship with ourselves and others, and life’s varied events trigger a spectrum of emotions. These emotions, often beyond our control, can disrupt our daily lives and mental well-being. This disruption can lead to a loss of control over our internal world, causing us to deviate from our values and lose our grip on the external world. The result? Feelings of anxiety, loss, anger, or an unexplainable discomfort.

Throughout my practice, I’ve encountered clients from a diverse multicultural background. They have been grappling with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, behavioral issues, and anger management. Some are dealing with the aftermath of divorce, while others are survivors of war and torture, among other challenges.

My role is to guide you in regaining control of your internal reality. By listening, making sense of your emotions, identifying obstacles, and developing calming strategies, we can work towards self-regulation and self-control.

Outside of my work, you’ll find me laughing, playing basketball, reading a thriller, or spending quality time with my family.
